Win 95/98 inspired desktop shell

It bridges the gap between Windows and my CLI terminals. It also houses a lot of QoL features that would otherwise have been complicated to put into Win11.

I can monitor background tasks, browse repos, run/close tools on demand.

I also load/unload local models from this interface.

Its also very usefull to have a prominent piece of GUI - a control panel if you will - on the second Monitor that is highly customizable on demand. Working with the Taskbar has become so annyoing that i appreciate the control i have over what is essentially just a node.js website.

Also brings me back to a time when i was a little kid, happily clicking around on an old windows work computer while i was waiting for my mum to finish.

DitherDino animted example

i just love playing around with this shit.

DitherDino adds a dimension

And its time.

Cant wait to discover the effects of animating certain properties of the dithering over time.

A lot of possibilities.

the resolution going up/down is only the most obivous, creating some sort of (un)blur effect.

DitherDino Login

I like this one. Inspired by that ne yeti login screen that went viral a while ago.

considering success and fail states, too.

also tracking the eye position with length of password, so the eye follows the cursor better.

ditherdino

the dithering software is shaping up. new features in the works. The big one being animations.

i think the branding (if you can call it that) is what i want it to be. ditherdino feels right to me. gotta make his little rex arms less phallic, but thats for another day.

Still debating if i ever want this to be public. the main reasons i dont want to are security concerns and fear of scrutiny (for use of AI)
